By booking with AccraDrive, you agree to the terms summarised here. The full version, including chauffeured-service terms, is at Terms of Service.
We collect only what's needed to fulfil your booking: name, contact details, licence and Ghana Card information, an identity verification photo, and trip details. Full detail, including how identity photos are handled and your rights over your data, is at Privacy Policy.
Security deposit refunds: refunded in full within 3–5 business days of vehicle return, provided there's no damage beyond normal wear, no unpaid mileage or fuel shortfall, and the vehicle is returned on time. Refunds go back to the original Mobile Money account or card used to pay. Any deduction is itemised and shared with you before the balance is refunded.
Cancelling a booking: more than 48 hours before pickup, you receive a full deposit refund. Within 48 hours, part of the deposit may be retained to cover vehicle preparation and driver scheduling already committed.
Wedding & event packages: cancellations more than 14 days before the event receive a full refund minus a GH₵200 administrative fee; within 14 days, 50% of the package fee is non-refundable due to vendor and decoration commitments already made.
Weather & force majeure: if a trip is cancelled due to circumstances outside either party's control (severe weather, civil disruption, government restriction), the full deposit is refunded regardless of notice period.
Self-drive vehicles rented for use within Accra are booked and insured for the Greater Accra service area specifically, as stated at the time of booking. Taking a vehicle booked for this area outside it, without prior written agreement from AccraDrive, is a breach of the rental agreement.
Every AccraDrive vehicle is equipped with GPS tracking technology. By renting a vehicle, you acknowledge and agree that:
This policy exists to keep our fleet, our insurance coverage, and our pricing structure honest for every renter — not to catch people out. If your plans change mid-rental, a quick message to our team before crossing the boundary avoids any of the above entirely.
Security deposits start from GH₵600 for a compact sedan, scaling up by vehicle class, and are paid via Mobile Money or card through our payment partner, Paystack. Daily rental fees can be paid the same way, invoiced, or in cash on handover for self-drive bookings.
Every AccraDrive vehicle carries comprehensive insurance, including third-party and passenger liability, through a licensed Ghanaian underwriter.

Breach of this policy may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund, and forfeiture of the security deposit to cover any resulting loss.
These terms apply specifically to owners who list a vehicle through Share Your Car — referred to below as "Hosts" — in addition to the general terms elsewhere on this page, which still apply to any booking made on a Host's vehicle.
Vehicle eligibility. To be listed, a vehicle must:
Insurance & liability during a booking. AccraDrive's insurance covers a Host's vehicle for the duration of each confirmed booking made through the platform — not for the Host's personal use outside of bookings, which remains the Host's own responsibility and insurance to carry. Normal wear from ordinary use is not charged to the Host or the renter; damage beyond normal wear is handled as a claim through the same process as AccraDrive's own fleet.
Renter screening. Every renter matched to a Host's vehicle goes through the same licence and Ghana Card verification used across AccraDrive's fleet — Hosts are not responsible for vetting renters themselves.
Revenue & payout. Hosts set their vehicle's availability; AccraDrive handles booking, renter communication, and payment collection. Earnings are released to the Host within 48 hours of a completed trip, via Mobile Money or bank transfer. AccraDrive's commission on each booking is disclosed to the Host before their first listing goes live and confirmed in writing.
Host responsibilities. Hosts must keep their vehicle's documentation current, disclose any mechanical issues promptly, and make the vehicle available as listed — repeated late cancellations or unavailability may result in a listing being suspended.
Ending a listing. A Host may remove their vehicle from the platform at any time with 7 days' notice, allowing any already-confirmed bookings to complete first.
These policies are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute arising from a booking with AccraDrive will first be addressed through direct negotiation between the parties; if unresolved within 14 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation before pursuing formal legal action in the courts of Ghana.
